You can delete everything directly in Grainwork or send us a verified request without reinstalling the app. Uninstalling Grainwork by itself does not delete your account or data.
Delete in the app
Open Grainwork and go to Settings → Delete account. If you use Grainwork anonymously, the same entry is labeled Delete my data. Review the deletion summary and confirm.
This is the fastest way. It normally removes your data from Grainwork's own live systems right away.
Request deletion without the app
No longer have the app? Email us from the address you use to sign in to Grainwork. If you used Hide My Email with Apple, send it from that relay address, or tell us enough to confirm the account is yours.
Or write to support@grainwork.app with the subject Grainwork account deletion request.
We may ask for limited verification so one person cannot delete another person's account. We normally complete verified email requests within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your Grainwork account record or anonymous-session record.
- Saved estimates, Bid Checks, home details, ZIP code, saved documents, and unused Grainwork credits.
- Uploaded photos and videos, video audio, extracted frames, and account-linked analysis and contractor-review material.
- Before You Buy briefings and the frames they cite, and Renovations Lite concepts and their images.
We do not keep an active training copy of your uploaded media under an anonymized or de-identified label.
Limited retention
A few technical records stay for a limited time:
- For up to two hours: a minimal account-identifier safety marker may remain to prevent an already-issued sign-in token from recreating deleted data.
- For up to 98 days: encrypted disaster-recovery backups may contain a prior copy. They are isolated from the live app. A one-way-hashed restore-suppression receipt remains for the same period so deleted data stays out of any restore.
- Until July 31, 2027 at the latest: a one-time archive we made on July 11, 2026 keeps data from accounts that existed that day. It is encrypted, kept in a separate storage bucket and used only to recover from a disaster. A retention lock stops anyone, Grainwork included, from changing or deleting it before July 11, 2027, so we cannot shorten it; we delete it shortly after the lock ends. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Sentry may retain transaction, analytics, or diagnostic records under their own requirements. Email support@grainwork.app if you want us to coordinate a provider-side privacy request. Aggregate service statistics that do not identify an account may remain.
