Hours and trim length were estimated from the video, not measured. Labor and the one service visit make up the rest of the range. The labor rate the app used wasn’t saved with this example.

What we won’t pretend

If the camera didn’t see it, we say so.

It’s not a home inspection. Every briefing lists what the video didn’t show and turns it into a question for the inspector.

Estimates list what they assume.

Each estimate lists the hours and materials it assumed, and says when a service visit is included. A contractor still confirms the price.

Where labor rates come from.

Labor is priced with a rate for the area, based on U.S. Labor Department wage data for construction workers.

Your information isn’t for sale.

We never sell your name or pass you to contractors.

What we’re building toward

A record that stays with the house.

Every walkthrough, repair and estimate should be kept, so the next owner, agent or contractor starts with what’s already known. We’re also teaching Grainwork to build a 3D model of a room from ordinary iPhone video. That part is research.
